iTime Machine

Becuase it seems pretty likely that Em and I are moving house next week, Em has started dispsoing of stuff that we've hoarded over the years but clearly shouldn't be keeping. Very sensible, but still quite anoying that 90% of the stuff getting donated to good causes is mine.

One bizarre item to hit the recycling bin is an issue of MacUser from August 1993. It's bizarre to me becuase I have no idea why I would have bought it; I've never even used an Apple Mac ("used" as in "known what I'm doing while I was touching it"). In fact I'm half scared of them, and half contemptuous of "more-than-one-mouse-button-is-too-hard" philosophy.

If anyone wants to read a review of PhotoShop 2.5, learn about how CD-ROMs work (CD-R will soon be available from £3500!), or check out the adverts for 80MB hard disks for £275, let me know, and I'll fish it back out from the bin.

Comments:
Given your seasonal blog frequency don't you think it's about time you merged your blogs into one?

You have the same structure as the BBC site but without the same volume of content or propaganda.

...and you spelt "because" wrong.

Perhaps I will shed some light on this issue. Men and women are not the same at all. Men collect stuff like cardboard life size cut out of R2D2 (my ex really had that along with Homer Simpson and about 300 star wars figures) and women have shoes. What is more essential, let's say, on a rainy day?
Also, technically although it is seen as a woman's hobby to collect household stuff, those are also practical as one needs a plate to eat from.
Women might not need all the handbags they have but then again, compared to the volume of DVDs men collect, can we be judged on that?
My advice would be to salvage it from the charity bin, hide it and re introduce it gradually onto the shelves but no more than one a quarter. Women can smell this sort of deceit a mile off. Best still, blame it on a baby.
Good luck.
